Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead by simply telling her to wake up! He thereby demonstrated His divine authority to give life. Yet more precious than having life in our bodies is to have spiritual life, to know and love almighty God. Such eternal life is found in Christ, and thus the genuine believer approaching death can remain ‘void of all fear, joyful in heart, and glad to die.’
