This psalm puts the glory and grace of God on display, whilst putting man in his place – made by God, in His image, for His praise.
Jesus warns His followers against false religion, which is proud and self-seeking. In contrast He commends a poor widow as an example of true, wholehearted religion.
In this short passage we have a declaration from the trinitarian God to the effect that Jesus Christ is forever to be obeyed and worshiped.
